The giant baseball is in Muscotah, not Horton, and was created from a large former water tank as a tribute to Hall of Fame shortstop and Muscotah native Joe Tinker. The local baseball-themed project developed in the 2010s; today the oversized stitched ball sits as a public roadside monument, although the “world’s largest” claim is local rather than a well-documented current record.
