The Wood County Museum occupies the county's former nineteenth-century infirmary and poor farm complex. Visitors can explore exhibits on the people who lived and died there along with the grounds, paupers cemetery, former Lunatic Asylum site and Pestilence House, making it far stranger than a typical county history museum.
