The stone Lookout Tower at Hills & Dales MetroPark, commonly called the Witch's Tower or Frankenstein's Castle, was completed in 1941. A teenage girl was killed by lightning at the tower in 1967, after which stories of ghostly figures became attached to it; the tower's entrance is sealed, but hikers can reach and view the exterior from the park trail.
