The former West Virginia Penitentiary is a massive Gothic prison that operated until 1995 and now offers guided history tours through cell blocks, yards and other restricted areas. Visitors can also book public ghost hunts, paranormal investigations and seasonal Halloween experiences, with the normal tour season running on scheduled dates.
