This sprawling museum recreates a historic West Virginia farming community with relocated buildings, farm machinery and unusual collections spread over dozens of acres. One of its stranger highlights is “General,” an enormous taxidermied horse once reported to weigh 2,850 pounds; the museum operates seasonally from spring into fall.
