Black volcanic sand, sea caves, lava arches, blowholes, and sharp coastal formations crowd a small section of shoreline at Waiʻānapanapa. Nonresident reservations are required, and ocean conditions make this a place to follow barriers rather than improvise routes along cliffs or caves.
