Ruins of a Route 66 tourist complex and trading stop survive near Canyon Diablo, alongside a heavily mythologized story commonly called the Apache Death Cave. Much of the property is private or unsafe, so this is a lawful roadside/view-only history stop and the cave story should be treated as legend rather than unquestioned fact.
