For generations, people around Durand Eastman Park have told stories of a white-clad woman wandering near Lake Ontario with ghostly hounds while searching for her missing daughter. A Legends & Lore marker now stands on Lakeshore Boulevard near the park and the stone ruins popularly called the White Lady's Castle.
