One of Hampton's oldest surviving houses has developed a reputation for unexplained footsteps, laughter, slamming doors and other reported activity. The organization that preserves the property has hosted paranormal programs and investigations rather than distancing itself from the folklore. Visits should be made through scheduled openings or authorized events.
