A gigantic relief of Confederate leaders Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson is carved into the exposed granite face of Stone Mountain. The park now interprets the carving within the history of Lost Cause commemoration and twentieth-century Confederate memorialization.
