The grounds of St. Margaret Shrine form a sprawling maze of grottoes, statues, miniature shrines, stonework and gardens inspired partly by European Catholic pilgrimage sites. It feels unexpectedly elaborate for a neighborhood Connecticut shrine and is free to walk during posted hours.
