At the site where Alex Schoenbaum opened the Parkette Drive-In in 1947 stands a small outdoor monument and display telling the story of the chain that became Shoney's Big Boy. It is more roadside kiosk than full museum, but the Big Boy-topped structure and vintage display panels remain accessible from the public parking area.
