A sandstone outcrop here contains Michigan's largest known collection of Indigenous rock carvings, including figures and teachings associated with Anishinaabe history. The site is jointly interpreted with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, and the protected petroglyph viewing area is accessed through scheduled seasonal tours rather than unrestricted handling of the carvings.
