The historic Redden Forest complex includes an early-1900s lodge and ranger or forester’s house that originated with a Pennsylvania Railroad hunting retreat. Local ghost lore says a woman still haunts the old house. The surrounding state forest has public recreation areas, but access to historic buildings is more restricted.
