Tradition identifies this rocky overlook as the place where Tenskwatawa, known as the Prophet, watched or encouraged Native forces during the Battle of Tippecanoe in November 1811. A marker and public pull-off identify the location today, though interpretations of the battle should be understood within the larger history of Indigenous resistance to U.S. expansion.
