Founded in the nineteenth century, Pine Ridge is one of America's oldest pet cemeteries. Thousands of animal graves include those of explorer Richard Byrd's dog Igloo and several dogs once owned by Lizzie Borden, making the peaceful grounds unexpectedly rich in famous-animal history.
