The Paul Bunyan Tree was a famously massive old tree in the University of New Hampshire’s College Woods, estimated to be more than two centuries old rather than something “built.” Current map data identifies the individual tree as deceased, so a traveler should not expect to find the living giant that originally earned the nickname.
