A 550-foot Great Lakes freighter launched in 1917 now serves as a floating museum beside the St. Marys River. Among its many maritime exhibits are two lifeboats recovered from the wreckage of the Edmund Fitzgerald, making the ship especially significant to Great Lakes disaster history.
