The Florence County Museum preserves fragments and objects connected with the 1958 Mars Bluff nuclear-bomb accident, when a weapon accidentally fell from a B-47 and its conventional explosives detonated near a family home. These artifacts complement the public marker included in South Carolina Part 1.
