The boom lasted under a year in 1926-27, after aggressive promotion pulled miners and investors into Titus Canyon and poor ore collapsed the whole thing. A few shacks, workings and ruins remain along the one-way Titus Canyon Road — which is scheduled to close from October 2026 to September 2027 for repairs.
