Built from thousands of coral slabs, Kawaiahaʻo became one of the most important churches of the Hawaiian Kingdom. The grounds also hold the tomb of King Lunalilo, who chose burial here rather than at the Royal Mausoleum; remember that this remains an active place of worship.
