The museum's volcanic-stone buildings hold artifacts, art, royal history, geology, and material from Kauaʻi and Niʻihau. It is one of the best places to put the island's heiau, legends, plantation history, and independent Kaumualiʻi kingdom into context before visiting scattered sites.
