Twenty-year-old Jennie Wade was killed inside this house by a stray bullet during the Battle of Gettysburg, making her the battle's only civilian fatality killed by direct fire. The preserved house operates as a museum and has also accumulated stories of apparitions, voices and other paranormal activity.
