Near the summit of Equinox Mountain is the granite grave of Mr. Barbo, the beloved dog of industrialist Joseph George Davidson. The unusually elaborate canine memorial recounts how Barbo was killed by a hunter in 1955; reaching it requires seasonal access on Skyline Drive.
