The Grand Kugel outside the Science Museum of Virginia is a roughly 29-ton granite globe that appears to float and rotate on an extremely thin layer of pressurized water. The current globe replaced an earlier damaged version, and visitors can still push the enormous stone sphere by hand when the fountain system is operating.
