Opened in 1934 as a tuberculosis sanatorium for Washington, D.C., Glenn Dale later served other patients before closing in 1982. Its abandoned hospital buildings have become a major source of local ghost stories, but entering the structures is prohibited; view them only from legal public roads and trails.
