A roughly 25-foot fiberglass figure depicting Chief Pontiac now stands indoors at the Pontiac Transportation Museum after decades as a piece of commercial roadside advertising. The restored figure belongs to the same broad family of giant fiberglass "Muffler Man" statues that once towered over businesses across America.
