A bronze copy of Rome's famous Capitoline Wolf, complete with the infant Romulus and Remus, stands in downtown Rome, Georgia. The Italian government sent the statue in 1929, creating an unexpectedly literal connection between the Georgia city and ancient Roman mythology.
