The roofless brick shell of Godfrey Barnsley's nineteenth-century manor remains standing inside the modern Barnsley Resort. War, tornado damage and decades of abandonment reduced the mansion to picturesque ruins that are now preserved as part of the property; visitors should follow resort access rules.
