This extravagant 1875 Victorian mansion became connected to one of the country's earliest nationally famous murder-by-mail cases after widow Josephine Barnaby was poisoned with whiskey in 1891. The castle-like house has also accumulated reports of cold spots, uneasy sensations and other alleged paranormal activity.
