A stone memorial at the Irish Hills' St. Joseph Shrine commemorates the victims of Ireland's Great Famine and the immigrants forced from the country during the nineteenth century. Dedicated in 2004, the monument adds an unexpectedly specific piece of Irish history to a rural Michigan religious complex.
