Occultist Aleister Crowley spent several months in Hebron in 1916 during what he described as a magickal retirement. The small house associated with that period still survives, giving New Hampshire a direct physical connection to one of the twentieth century's most notorious occult figures. It is a private residence and should be viewed only from a lawful public road.
