Built for the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition, the enormous free-flight cage survived the fair and became a foundational exhibit of the St. Louis Zoo. The restored structure remains in active use, giving travelers a rare surviving piece of World's Fair architecture that still serves its original purpose.
