Newport, RI
At the entrance to Newport's Brick Market area, two giant bronze feet appear to step out of a curling wave embedded in the pavement. The surreal sculpture is easy to miss among the shops, but its disembodied scale makes it one of downtown Newport's stranger pieces of public art.
North Smithfield, RI
Built in the late 1920s, this giant milk-can-shaped structure once sold dairy products and ice cream beside Route 146. The building was later moved and has spent decades unused, but its oversized novelty architecture still makes it unmistakable from the highway corridor. It is private property and should be viewed only from a safe public location.
Richmond, RI
Young Boulder is a giant recycled-wood troll hidden near Browning Mill Pond in the Arcadia Management Area. Added in 2025, the sculpture requires a woodland walk and turns the search itself into part of the attraction. Follow current trail rules and do not climb on the sculpture.
