The unusually broad museum collection makes Space Farms much stranger than a standard animal park; its public season runs primarily from spring through fall.

An underground zinc mine has been transformed into one of New Jersey's strangest geology museums. Tours descend into the mine and pass the fluorescent Rainbow Tunnel, while the surface museum preserves an enormous collection of glowing minerals from the famous Franklin-Sterling Hill mining district.

More than 6,000 artifacts at The College of New Jersey document the history of RCA, radio, television and experimental electronics. Strange prototypes include early electronic displays, obsolete video technologies and equipment tied to major twentieth-century communications breakthroughs; visits are currently by appointment.

This museum at Montclair State University preserves memorabilia from Yankees catcher Yogi Berra, including championship material, photographs and artifacts from his baseball career. Exhibits also examine Berra's military service and the famous sayings associated with him.
